Does anyone read or watch? It's the story about this psychopath named Light who receives a shinigami's notebook which gives him the power to kill anyone and the super-detective trying to stop him. Really, it's one of the best series in quite sometime. I like it same as my cousin because the main character isn't a good guy.

I watch. The whole "corrupt hero" is a great idea. It's also awesome that NIGHTMARE does the opening and ending themes. Ryuk is my favorite character, follwed closely by L.

Hahaha I never knew Ryuk was your favorite character, I think I know why though. We should write an apple song.

It's alright. I like Light. I'd probably be doing what he is. I want the movie.

I've been keeping up with the manga. It's pretty awesome, the way it never fails to leave me in suspense over what will happen next, or keep me guessing over who will pull what move next. And of course, I love rooting against the hero, something you don't get to do often. L is my favorite character, but Near is pretty cool in his own way too.

That's true rooting against the hero is so fun and you don't get to do that as often as you'd like (although sometimes I do it anyway since I like to disagree with the masses). L is the best I think of course and I just love his lil quirks like low blood sugar. I couldn't stand Near for a simple reason... L died

That's a very good reason not to like Near. I have to admit, my interest in the series dropped off a bit after volume 7. But if I have to choose a side after that I'd still have to go with Near.
You know, for a short time I went to school with a guy that looked like the illegitimate love child of L and Miyavi.

Yeah, same here. I managed to finish the series, but it just wasn't the same after volume 7.
Hahahaha. That's a combination. I wonder if he had ADHD like Meevers or some type of autism like L. Cuz there's no way in hell their love child could be normal.

I've been reading in English, so I haven't finished it yet. Still looking forward to the ending, though. How many volumes are there?
He seemed mostly normal, actually. Although now that I think about it, he also had Hyde's wings tattooed across his back.

There are 12 volumes, so you'll get to see Near's plans develop more.
Hahaha.
Do you think L has a form of autism? There's this fansite that discusses it, so it gave me the idea.

Almost to the end all ready, then? I read over that fansite before. I think it's possible, but who knows what the manga-ka was going for there?

If he doesn't have autism, then L DEFINITELY has diabetes.
