It makes me think of all those talk shows with the kids that abuse their mothers. I guess it would be kind of hard to try and defend yourself against your child. You'd probably have to hurt them, and even just the realization that your own flesh and blood was hurting you that way would be difficult to swallow. On the other hand, if I ever raised a fist to my mother she wouldn't think twice about laying me out good, I'm sure.
