www.msnbc.msn.com/id/8322795/I found out about this last night on "Attack of the Show" and was telling my mother and uncle about it today while going hysterical. I'll post my full thoughts later.

The rest of my life is arleady set for the military, so this doesn't really scare me at all. I'm going one way or another. But I can see why people would be mad about this or whatever. I wouldn't want people running around with my social security number either.
They've done something similar to this before and they got my brother (which he expected. He went to West Point Military Academy. x.x; ) and cousins who were in college, but nothing ever happened. The Government is all talk no action these days. D:

I wouldn't mind it if it were so much the government having my social security number and information since they already have it. I'm concerned about them possibly giving all my information away without my consent to a single company putting myself and A LOT of people at risk. I'm also very frightened this could potentially be a step forward to Bush's draft. As some have already said, this is like an online draft. Our oh-so-worthy president has expressed his discontent with the lower ammount of recruits from his expectations. After he sees how many more people could be joining and aren't, who's to say he isn't going to push harder for the draft?
Even if you've already got your eyes set on the military, I think it's still an injustice to our privacy and has potential to cause damage to anyone.

Yeah, it's old news the sites will take it down after awhile, but the government is having this single company make online profiles about possible army recruits. The profile includes the person's email address, social security number, grade point average, etc. All college students and a lot of highschool students will have this done without their permission and probably without their knowledge.
