America has gone and done it again. We've stuck our finger where it doesn't belong, again. Iraq. Really, how do we justify our actions? We're making more enemies than what we'll be able to deal with. Paraphrasing what one of my teachers told me, we wen't to Iraq at first to get Bin Laden. Vroom vroom! We get there and decided "Op! He's too hard to find. Who else is here? Hey look! Sadam's over there. I heard he's got weapons of mass destruction, too." We topple Sadam...but we don't find the weapons. Now what? "You know what, the Iraqi people deserve to have democracy! Just like us Americans! The same democracy that makes the poor poorer and the rich richer!" So we work to free the Iraqi people from Sadam and insurgency. That is our excuse for being in Iraq right now: To finish weeding out Sadam's followers and to capture all insurgents. Isn't America grand? Should we even still be in Iraq? Honestly, how much good has come from it?

To answer that question, you might want to ask an Iraqi. Maybe they're happy with the direction their government is headed (and maybe they aren't)...but as far as how much good its done for America: Well we captured our long time enemy Saddam, but that victory might be cancelled out by all our other loses. We lost money, lost lives, have most of the world terrified of us, and we didn't find any nuclear weapons, which makes us look completely terrible (we practically waged war for no reason). Today's mission....failed. Seriously, there seems to be more negatives than positives when it comes to American presence in the Middle East.

It was a shoot and miss type of thing, amigos. Personally, I don't think anything good will come from it, because even if they capture all of Saddams followers, there's most likely going to be someone else out there that completely agrees with the guy and come back to finish what he started. America shouldn't have went into Iraq in the first place. America spent far too much money and wasted one too many lives on this war, it's pathetic.

Though it is possible to hypothesize the best of intentions for this war, Bush clearly did not go in there for peace and justice.
This is what makes it wrong on so many levels.
And Curtle made some remark about democracy making the poor poorer and the rich richer. Though I agree, I don't think Iraq is ready to handle itself in a communist-like regime.
