I'm getting annoyed at how many feminist groups complain about sexual exploitation of women in media, culture, and most especially the adult film industry. What are your views on sexual exploitation?
As I said, I'm annoyed. All of the individuals these groups are trying to "defend" are making conscience decisions of their own free will. Although many of these people are setting a pretty bad example for the rest of us, they are the ones choosing to do so. If these groups keep making such a deal of it, things will only get worse because more attention is being paid to these women.

I'm not exactly sure what you mean by sexual exploitation and these groups, but if you're talking about all the women that go on tv showing off their chests or rears, then i get it.
And i agree with you. All these groups really should simmer down because it's not like anyone's forcing people to go out in public dressed like a ho.

No, I'm talking about the women who moan and groan over that, saying that the women who aren't wearing clothes are being exposed and exploited by men. In their minds, I understand that they mean good, but they're the ones giving these women more attention.

Oh okay, i understand now. Yeah, i still agree with you. It's (imo) mainly because women (most lol) do nothing but moan and complain. I find it ironic because moms are usually the ones that tell you that if you let someone or something get to you you're giving them attention and what not etc etc.
I just don't watch the american shows, like Music Awards, Reality Shows (besides Fear Factor), MTV, music vids, etc because i just don't wanna see it. Plus, i don't like a majority of american singers, so i dont wanna see them.

Depends on who's doing what and working for whom. In some cases it's by choice. In other cases, it could be caused by a number of things, one big reason being higher digits in their paychecks, someone "nudging" a person into a certain decision. But there is a lot of exploitation out in the world, period. Then there's always some type of vicious cirlce thing going on: (fill in the blanks) someone does _____, the media gets a hold of it, hypes it up, makes it cool. People see it/read about it/hear about it, like it, then ________ goes and does it too and so does _____ and _____ and _____. Soon, many people are doing it, it becomes mainstream, the voices of those who say it isn't quite right, it sets a bad example, are silenced and then the morals of society drop just a liiiiiiiiiiiittle lower.
Any exploitation, especially sexual, brings in the big bucks and most people nowadays just look the other way.

I think women are morons. Its sad that I am one.
First of all, why would a woman actually sell herself off in those sex ads? Pathetic.

But, it's not just a woman thing my example of the women was to show how groups add fire to the subject and make the deal so much worse than the actual claimed "exploitation". Guys can be "exploited" too and I think perhaps just as much as women. Have you ever realized how many male underwear models there are out there?

Sometimes you have to wonder if the complaints of those feminist group aren't in some small way triggered by the very basic reaction of jealousy. You can't look anywhere these days without seeing some scantly clad beauty queen, and it stands to reason that some women would dislike this for the very fact that they don't want their men looking at it, and it makes them feel inadequate. That's how I feel a lot, deep down. I want to think 'That's disgusting and wrong!' but I know that would make me a hypocrite because I have no problem with male exploitation. I think exploitation is a natural instinct to an extent, even though the usage of it to sell things these days has gotten out of hand.
As for the way portest groups add fire to the situation, it's always been that way. Whether it's government protesting heavy metal or parents protesting violence in video games, it always has the adverse affect of drawing hype to the subject and aiding the very thing they're working against. You'd think those groups would have realized how that works by now and decide to just let things run their course. If you don't stir the fire, it'll die out eventually.

I agree. I think it's more a state of jealousy among women than anything else. These women moan and groan about how wrong and undignified it is for models to be exposed like that, but have them flip to a page of male exploitation, and I bet you they'd sing a different tune. It's all about appeal. Women don't like their men looking at these gorgeous, impossibly perfect bodies that they themselves will never be able to have, and yet given the chance I'm pretty damn sure they would turn around an oggle a man with a perfect six-pack and muscular build to sport. Yeah, that's my argument.

Makes perfect sense and some good examples of groups fanning the fire is like that Paris Hilton burger commercial if it weren't for people complaining about it it wouldn't have been on every news program everyday for 2 weeks.
