I wasn't really surprised. He's made evident a certain fascination with religion before. Ha, after doing the '666' album the 'Faith' album seemed kind of natural, both ends of the spectrum. I think it's kind of cool he chose to explore a subject that wasn't too popular in Japan too. If he does another solo project, I wonder where he'll go with it from here?

That's true Christianity and ESPECIALLY songs about Christianity aren't very popular in Japan, but his record did sell spectacularly. Of course it did well here too. His first concert to promote it completely sold out according to Wikipedia. I wonder how much farther he can push it, perhaps a full U.S. tour and release next time. Hyde, will he ever run out of topics though? I'm waiting for an album about The Buddha.

His record sold well, but it sold less than his first two. Eh, mention of his US concerts always make me sad. I could very well have gone... provided I was willing to sell my kidney on the black market. And I was. But my mother threatened me with horrible consequences if I flew to California alone, so alas, it was not to be. The four concerts here sold out within about five minutes each though, so actually getting there would still have been somewhat of a long shot. I'd love a full tour, though. He needs to come to Florida for some southern hospitality!
The Buddha? But then what will he wear around his neck, if not a cross?

It's perfect! Amusing and truthful! Well, in this fangirl's humble opinion anyway...

Well I wish it went more deep for me but... Faith is my favorate album cause my favorate songs are on it. XD
Countdown
Made in heaven
Dolly
It's sad
Seasons call
But too bad the majoraty of it is english. 666 has more Japanese than Faith does, so I like this one too.
Shining over you
Masqurade
Prayer
Horizon
Words of love
Hello
Well I guess on second thought I like Faith and 666 about equally. =P The fact of the matter is I like almost all of his songs. Roentgen seemed a little more popish but even those I liked. Drop of Color is one of my favorate Hyde songs.

Yeah, I agree Roentgen was very popish compared to his other albums. My favorite songs are "Hideaway" "Horizen" "Masquerade" and "Hello". Can you tell I like 666 best?

Hehe. I think either Masqurade or Hello are my fave track from the album. If I had to really really only pick one it'd be Masqurade.

That's a great song. I believe it was on the "CASSHERN" soundtrack. I should translate it. I love translating Hyde's works, they're so visual and poetic.

^^ Yes indeed. I have a question though, what is Made in Heaven about? Cause...He wants our blood...actually he kinda demands it. XD I know the lyrics I'm just wanting to know what the meaning of it is.
I wan't your blood, give it to me, I taste your cells, instinctavly. Come drink my blood, loose all reason, out of control, Sensibly. Light the fire, of desire, he awaits, sweet depravity. HAHA!
That much I got from hearing it a lot and I don't really know the rest. *Is ashamed*

Because in Japanese one of the words for blood is shared with energy I think he's asking for people's energy at like concerts or something. A Jesus-candy song doesn't seem like it should be so vampirish.

Actually, I recall reading an interview/commentary thing in a magazine in which he explained that the song was about how, despite being created in God's image it's still naturally ingrained within humans to do bad things, like spilling blood. I read a translation of the actual song somewhere, but can't for the life of me find it again now.

Hmm... That's what is great about Hyde's songs, they arent just lyrics, they are deep and require thought as to find the message. Not just some "She left me and I'm saaaaaad" lyrics but deep meaningful words.
