Miyavi, the ex-guitarist of Dué le quartz, has made quite a few interesting bits if you ask me. He started in the movie 'Ore-sama' and recently, or relatively recently, released his album 'Miyavism'. Anyone else here like his music?

"Starred in" is an understatement. It was just a cheap promotional gimmick, but we can talk more about that in the Movies thread. Miyavi is one of the most annoying, crazy, egotisitcal [explicit] I've ever heard of...and that's pretty much why I like him ;D. I used to like his music a lot more before "Miyavism" because it was musically abstract.
Favorite song: Jibun Kakumei -2003- Favorite video: Jibun Kakumei -2003- Favorite album: Galyuu

My favorite song would either be 'Ashita Tenki ni Nare', 'Ashita Genki ni Nare', 'Pop is Dead', 'Tome to Jurii', or 'Yameteyo shite sawaranaide'. I can't choose. ;D I don't have have a favorite video yet, and no favorite album.

Well, it probably won't be Miyavism. Unless you like songs that sound the same.

See no Miyavi, hear no Miyavi, speak no Miyavi. D:
I've never liked him or Due le Quartz really. It's not just his fans I don't like, the music just doesnt appeal to me. I do like Kikasa, though. :U

Miyavi's great, but brings him down like Gackt is his retarded fangirls...and a bad last album. conspiracy. it is it is. I did like him in DlQ because I liked the band (although Sakito = #1), then when he went solo I did notice and perhaps start liking him more although I wished DlQ'd've stayed together and now it's actually lessened a bit, but yeah...I still like his music and I do think he's cute.

Fangirls ruin him for me. There are a few songs I could like, but I just can't listen to them.

I can't blame you, Squall. Lately, fangirls, and I mean the -real- freaky fangirls, have been driving me to not listen to much j-music.

I've only been listening to the bands no one cares about becaue they're not "hot" but make music x10 better. D: No Malice Mizer, Dir en grey, Pierrot, L'arc, Miyavi, Gazette, Kagrra, SID, and a lot of oshare-kei for a while until I cool down. It really sucks though about SID. All these new fangirls coming when SID gets musically hit below the belt and runining it for the... I don't know... vets?

I listen to popular artists/bands and unpopular artists/bands strictly because I like the music. I don't care what anyone else thinks as long as I think it's good, so I don't let retarded fangirls get in the way of my own personal fandom.

Understandable but when someone's like, "OMG! They're like.. so freaking hawt!" It seriously gets annoying and just ruins it for a while..

Miyavi really does seem to like the attention though and plays up to it. That's the only reason why he's done some of the things he has I can think of.
Anyway likes and dislikes about the last album.
I did like the style of it. It reminded me of something like Miyavi + SID. I didn't like how no singles were on it and how after awhile all the songs seem to sound the same.

I liked some of the beats, though, as stated before, the songs seem to run together.

I'm looking forward to his next single. Hopefully he can get back on track with his old Meevers self. It's going to be acoustic which has me very excited since he at least used to do it well. On the regular edition of the single, "Ashita, No Tenki ni Nare" will actually be a track.
