IWATSUKI, Japan - Hundreds of 10,000 yen and 1,000 yen notes are on display at the Iwatsuki Police Station after they were found afloat in an irrigation ditch in Hasuda, Saitama Prefecture, by a 13-year-old boy on Jan. 29. The boy, who was training with a junior baseball team, found the cache while following a foul ball. If the owner of the money is not found, it will go to the representative of the baseball team in six months in accordance with the law, an officer at the police station said. (Kyodo)
Damn, that boy was dumb. Now what he should have done was open the cache, see the money and leave it there. Then, after practice he could take the money for himself. Now, he's got to split it with the if the money's not claimed. BTW 15,000,000 yen is equal to almost 145,000 US$.
