Elementary schoolkids busted forging 10,000-yen bills
NAGOYA -- Four elementary school students will be reported to a child consultation center for using counterfeit 10,000-yen notes at a local stationery shop, police said on Saturday.
The four students from the same school in Aichi Prefecture, whose names are not disclosed under law, forged 10,000-yen notes by using a computer and a scanner in January and February this year.
They later tried to pass off one of the notes at a stationery shop, but an employee who suspected it was a bogus bill alerted police.
The police plan to send the case to a child consultation center on suspicion of currency forgery and use of a bogus bill.
The students admitted that they had given some forged notes to their friends.
I know people who have been dumb enough to do things like that.
