TOTTORI, Japan — The Tottori prefectural board of education issued a warning Wednesday to a female high school teacher after she refused to stand and sing Japan's national anthem during a graduation ceremony, board members said.
They said that the principal of the prefecture-run Chizunorin High School told the faculty on three occasions to sing the "Kimigayo" national anthem, but that she refused to comply during the March 1 ceremony.
Now THIS is forcing national beliefs on someone.

Indeed it is. Although I don't know Japan's national anthem, I can't really defend her actions as far as refusing because of the content of the anthem. This shows how America is a great land in some ways. In America, you can't be forced to do that. Actually, the government can't force you to sing at all.
