KYOTO — A hospital in the city of Nagaokakyo, Kyoto Prefecture, reported to police Sunday that 70 million yen was stolen from a cash box.
A live-in employee at Asawa Hospital found a window of the first-floor room broken at around 7 a.m., and Yoshiyuki Asawa, the hospital director, found the theft after checking around the building, the police said. (Kyodo News)
This makes sense, almost 3/4 of a million dollars in a cash box on the first floor of a hospital with no alarm.
