FUKUSHIMA — Three passengers died and 24 others were injured when a bus crashed into a highway divider and turned over on the Banetsu Expressway in Fukushima Prefecture on Thursday morning, police said, adding they have arrested the driver, Takaaki Yagawa, 49, on suspicion of professional negligence.
The three, who were not wearing seatbelts, according to other passengers, died after being thrown out of the bus on the expressway in Inawashiro, at around 6:10 a.m. Yagawa, who was slightly injured, told police he lost control of the steering wheel while trying to close a window. The bus, carrying 26 passengers, had left Osaka at 8 p.m. Wednesday and was scheduled to arrive in Sendai, Miyagi Prefecture, at 8:30 a.m. (Kyodo News)
Every single person on the bus got jacked up and it's because of some fool who didn't have both hands on the steering wheel!?
