TOKYO — A man and woman were found dead in a car in a parking lot in Tokyo's Odaiba district Saturday afternoon in an apparent suicide, police said.
Two charcoal stoves and a suicide note were found in the car, which had been sealed from the inside with adhesive tape, they said. They said they are working to identify the man, believed in his 50s, and the woman, believed in her 20s. Meanwhile, in Tsukuba, Ibaraki Prefecture, a 23-year-old man and a 16-year-old girl were found dead in a car parked in a vacant lot at Mt Tsukuba, according to police. (Kyodo News)
What are these charcoal stoves and why do they keep selling them? They seem like such a health-hazard from all I've read.

Ooooooooh so like a space heater? I've heard from some people about little propane? heaters they had in their apartments since a lot of buildings didn't have normal ventilation. Didn't think they were the same thing. I really think they should stop production of them though and switch to an alternative affordable heating unit.
