Over the past month and a half, I've somehow gotten into the same conversation with several people about how repetitive the Zelda games are becoming. Each time it's the exact same plot, someone kidnapped, Link save, time and time again. Chuckie offered up some ideas though like a game based around the chickens, which I'd totally buy. What do you think?

Yeah the plots are normally the same- rescue this person, rescue that person. C'mon Shigi and Nintendo peeps, give us a plot revolving around a chicken overlord named Ganonbawk who comes from space to free his ill-tempered brethren . They change the gameplay enough to keep the games pretty interesting though (like being able to control four Links at once in Four Swords Adventure, turning into a wolf in Twilight Princess, shrinking in Minish Cap).

It is very. I thought the gameplay changes were weak. I've got to give it up for the next game having horse-riding, but the whole transformation doesn't sit well with me. Anyone ever play Halo 2? I think character transformation is a way of the production company saying that the character is weak. I think LoZ needs more realistic gameplay elements, likable secondary characters, and a new and original plot. I would buy a game with the LoZ chickens, no matter what genre [thinks of an LoZ chicken 1st-person shooter].

I agree with you Squall and would like to add that I'd also love to see an Link and Zelda co-op game.

I guess the Zelda storylines are becoming a bit of a cliché, but I wouldn't say repetitive.

I agree with you Squall and would like to add that I'd also love to see an Link and Zelda co-op game. That'd be nice. I think they did that at the very end of Wind Waker, cept' of course Zelda was a comp.

Zelda wasn't in the Wind Waker, it was "Aryl"

Yeeeah, thanks for catchin' that.
Do you happen to know the name of the villain in Minish Cap? I keep forgetting his name but he seemed like a pretty cool character they can build on.

Yeah, that's the guy I'd like to see him in one of the 3-D Zelda games

*Humph!* Well for your information (Sorry I gotta get like this when I defend Zelda games) The storyline for twilight princess is great! LOL Theres even a few cutscenes that are hella psycho. The good kind of psycho, the kill and betray and stab your friend with a knife kind. It's fun! ^^ If you dissagree I wont get mad cause I feel everyone is entitled to an opinion. Yeah the plot os repetative but if you werent gonna save a princess... Then you cant be a pointy eared swordsman dressed in green with a sleeping cap on. It's prolly just me but I like how the game does that, I guess I get all giddy with classic stuff, like how theres always a Biggs, Wedge, and Cid in Final Fantasy games. That's the Zelda style. NOW BOW BEFORE MY MIGHTY TEMPERED MASTERSWORD, PEASENTS! BWAHAHAHAHA! (Lost in my own little world, forgive me.)
