So I guess it's safe to say I'm obsessed with this game. People, if you don't have a Wii I highly recomend getting it for gamecube.
The main focus of Twilight Princess is the new Twilight Realm. With the vague information originally provided about the title, fans presumed that the Twilight Realm was a form of the Golden Realm which first appeared in A Link to the Past. (Like me. XD) But this turned out to not be the case at all. The Twilight Realm is a whole new land unto itself (unlike the Golden Realm, which is a eutopic form of Hyrule).
This game takes the Wind Waker combat and gets rid of the childlike graphics and storyline. This Zelda is much more grown up in all respects; Brilliant gameplay, wonderful and compelling storyline, great features, and great graphics.
They say it's the best Zelda to come out since Ocarina of Time, which I couldn't agree more. While Ocarina of time was top notch of it's time, it's hard to come up with something better than a classic. (Just look at Final Fantasy VII) but it may very well be safe to say that Twilight Princess is Ocarina of times' equal.

Thanks for the review, all I hear are good comments about the game. May I ask you to go into more detail with the battle system? Even though I'll probably never play the game, I'm really interested in the horseback feature.

Well if you ever played Ocarina of time, the hourseback system is similar, but tweaked up some. Firstly you get the option to dash, just like on the first one, making it easy to jump fences and the like, you don't get stuck as often on this one, moving the joystick back and holding will make you pull the horses riegns and make her stand and do a 180 to face the oposite direction. The combat on horseback is great too. Not only do you use arrows like on OOT, but you can use your sword as well. Use the shield to block arrows and the like. There are also parts of the game that make you use the whole hourseback combat system, as well as a fairly stubborn boss fight to the death on a narrow bridge. Really fun. ^^
On foot combat has evolved a fair amount. You get different types of combos for starters, like just pressing "B" over and over will do a basic combo, while holding the hjoystick forward (Or on a Wii you just do the motion you like) will base the combo in thruist attacks, and left and right to horizontal based attacks. The lock on system is updated and easier to use as well. It makes it fairly easy to hit the opponent as well as parry and roll. Dodging attacks and rolling also open to attacks from the behind. As you progress throgh the game you can seek out these stones and howling the correct tone as wolf link, it will unlock a spirit warrior, find this warrior as human link and he will teach you special and secret moves, such as the Finisheing move (Opponent is on the ground and you flip over to him and thrust down instantly killing it) a few others are helm splitter, back slash, so forth. Easy to get used to, not very difficult at all actually. One of the better action games out there.

That sounds great. I hope I get the opportunity to play it some day.
What's the back-story behind Link turning into Wolf Link?

Okay this part is pretty expancive. See the king of the twilight relm, Zant, has found a way out of the twilight relm. He goes and expands the twilight throughout Hyrule. As the twilight spreads, people turn into spirits. When Link goes into the twilight however, he doesn't. He bears the mark of a warrior chosen by the three goddesses. When link enters the twilight he transforms into a wolf. In his wolf form Link can highten his senses to see things normal people can not. Also when in the twilight the spirits can't see wolf link. In this form Wolf link must find these insects that have stole light from the light spirits. When the l;ight is gatheres, the twilight in that area goes away and the light spirit turns you back into a human. There is a point in the game where you can go to wolf for and back at will. That's where I am right now.

By the way, on OOT you could only use the iron boots to explore the water and not swim under the water, only dive a certain amount and swim abouve water. On Twilight princess you can swim every which way. It's a great improvment and makes things easy for underwater exploration.

I see. I was afraid of them changing our hero, like they did in Halo 2. It got negative feedback, since you know, you'd rather play as Link, but how you put it makes it sound very interesting. Is this your favorite Link game so far?

Well see technicly you aren't the same Link in any Zelda game. Well I think in Majoras mask it was the same chibi link. Er I mean Kid link. I dunno cause I never really got into Majora's mask. But yeah it's still new and all but with the new features and gameplay I like this one a tad bit better than OOT. Although OOT is always a classic to me. I loved Link to the past. Loved it so much that I had a Super Nintendo just for that game till they made the GBA version. It's hard to play faves but I guess if I had to I'd say tie between this one and OOT.

I'm thinking about getting this one, especially after my majora's mask game is faulty.
