Usually, when I'm hungry and I want to fix myself dinner I dont follow a recipe .. sort of. I go in my freezer, thaw (sp?) out some hamburger .. take some celery .. mushrooms ... japanese rice wine (forget the exact name now - mind blank) and a frying pan ... and I just cook it. Sometimes I'll do something with sukiyaki sauce .. etc ..
Does anyone else have any things that they just make ... without following a sort of recipe? Or just make something from memory that you know tastes good? (like i do)

I'm so weird. I only need to look at a recipe the first time I make something then I memorize it, so really unless it's something new I cook from memory everytime.
(Mirin I believe is what the wine's called)

Sometimes with my ramen, I'll just get creative and chop veggies up, and add it into the noodles and original flavoring, and add in some random spices.
