As the title says. I mean I think it's ok if you give a few friends your address and let them see what's up, but I mean people putting their blogs on topsites and things wanting hundreds of strangers to see all their personal info. Are they just asking to be raped?

People who have open journals and advertise them EVERYWHERE... I think they're just whores who want comments to raise their waning self-esteem.
I think if you put a link to your Friends Only blog in your forum profile is okay, though. That's what I do but my LJ is a party journal, it's not personal but it still is Friends Only. I don't advertise my GJ though. That's my emo journal. D:

Yeah, what you do is fine, but I mean there are some people who would ask B-C to affiliate with their personal lj. I don't understand their reason.

Yeah, and that probably wouldn't help bring in any people. ; Yeah, that would be a really bad move for the person with the actual site especially if it were 100% personal stuff yet the people who own the blogs think that's ok. I think you're right though about them trying to raise their self-esteem. |

It's pretty weird especially when their blogs aren't interesting at all. When I'm bored sometimes I'll read my friends' friends' though.

I dont share personal things with people unless I trust them. I have protected posts on my xanga. (they're not all protected)
I dont understand why people would advertise their blogs .. ridiculous.

Yeah it is a blog and you do have trouble with it being so open since you've got that online stalker...although she does it in real life too a bit.

I don't know.
I personally never advertise my blog. I just give it to close friends or friends that I come across. I'd rather keep my blog as personal as I can.
