Ok as you see we have seperate boards now for j-pop + rock. Which do you think Gackt, Orange Range, and High and Mighty Color belong in?
I think all of them should go in pop, but I didn't want to offend anyone, so what do you guys think?

I always think of OR as rock, though they can be very poppy plus their popularity. Hard.
Uh, I wouldn't be offended or anything if you put them all under pop. :>

OR and High and Mighty Color wouldn't be bad in pop. This is just my opinion however, I think since Gackt seems to be getting -back- into rock, he wouldn't be bad in rock, but pop works too..

I think Gackt should be rock... though the confusing thing would be this whole ballad-esque stuff he occasionally does.
At this other forum i visit, they have jrock and jpop forums; Gackt + Orange Range are in Jrock and High & Mighty Color are in pop..

Actual Reasons why they all belong to pop.
Gackt He rarely plays a rock intrument Most of his song ARE pop. You're trying to tell me you find [Vanilla] to be a rock song. He performed with Hamasaki Ayumi. Seriously...imagine an actual rock star like Kyo performing with Ayumi. He + Malice Mizer = too much French POP Gackt = mainstream pop music
Orange Range They are more mainstream pop than rock now Most of their stuff is danceable 90% of their stuff you can't mosh or headbang to without being looked at weird
High and Mighty Color Though the band does rock, like UVERworld they're techno rock with pop vocals.
You didn't offend me.
