I listen to both, but to be honest, I like Korean Hip-Hop so much more.
Korea's is more to the true style whereas a lot of Japan's has a lot of Jpop influences. I'm not saying J-Urban is bad. I do enjoy it and my favorite thing about it is how many female Japanese MC's there are (Miss Monday, the girls from Soulhead, Heartsdales, BENNIE K, AI, and a few others).
If you haven't heard any Korean Hip-Hop check out these artists
Drunken Tiger Jinusean Se7en Taebin YG Family
Unfortunately...I like Japanese R&B more than Korean. Some people think they're the same, but there is a line.
Japanese R&B artists to check out
Chemistry Crystal Kay Hikaru Utada Ken Hirai Namie Amuro Soulhead Sowelu The Gospellers
Overall, Korea gets my vote.

I don't really like the genre, but Japanese isn't that bad.
