SAPPORO — Four people were found dead in a minivan parked in a vacant lot in Hokkaido on Thursday morning in a suspected case of group suicide involving charcoal stoves, police said.
The three men and one woman were found dead around 7:20 a.m. in a minivan parked in a lot near the Ishikari River in Ebetsu, police said. Six charcoal stoves and ashes were found in the vehicle. One male appeared to be in his late teens and the other two around 20 and 30, and the woman around 30, authorities said, adding that no suicide note was found.
It seems they didn't get the Monday memo.
