Man arrested for fatally assaulting mentally impaired daughter
NAGOYA — A 71-year-old man was arrested Monday on suspicion of fatally assaulting his mentally impaired 44-year-old daughter at their home in Okazaki, Aichi Prefecture, police said.
The police alleged that Mamoru Izumi repeatedly hit his daughter Harumi around 5 p.m. Sunday after she tore a futon. Izumi telephoned the police Monday morning to say that his daughter was dead, police officials said. (Kyodo News)
This is pretty sad. The woman didn't really have anyway to defend herself.
